April/1. To make sure my point is clear: Every £1 I put in SSE's gas metre appliance they take almost 70 pence leaving me with just 30 pence. Add to that I owe them almost £200s---this is the Standing Charge, or rent, for using their equipment, or forced to use---for fuel that I have not used then it's a clear-cut conspiracy against the people and the government must know about it. The heating I was using before the gas conversion; an electric heater, or boiler, you paid for what you used. Now, you pay a rent and 70%, if you put in only £1s to stop having to pay the Standard Charge, off of every 1 pound is taken from you. Either way, then, they get you, but I prefer to use the £1 system because if you owe them money---for energy you haven't even used; the SC---and put, for example, £10s in the metre, they pinch a lot of it back leaving you with hardly any credit, or even no credit, forcing you to keep feeding it and I, for one, just can't afford to do that. If you can afford to pay and you do, then here this: you are actually RENTING an appliance from a private company when you should rip it out and put in your own FREE system.
